TheAlchemistDJ was born in Derby, England – his brothers who were also DJ’s played a pivotal part of the start of a great career. From birth, music was part of the family and his father’s 7” Bollywood movie soundtrack collection would play in the background.
TheAlchemistDJ draws his inspiration from the big innovators of music who excite him, including The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Nas, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Jamiroquai, Atjazz, Masters At Work, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Todd Terry and DJ Spinna – just to name a few. This is evident in his open format DJ sets.
TheAlchemistDJ held his first DJ residency in Derby at a famous Vodka Bar spinning on a Sunday night, building the night from nothing to a sold-out venue. Word spread quickly about the Sunday vibes and quickly he built a name for himself as Sunday sessions DJ.
He then moved to London to attend University and become a Pharmacist, and continued his passion for playing music to elevate crowds and inject good vibes to the capital. The West-end of London was TheAlchemistDJ’s playground and quickly found himself playing at the hottest new venues, 10 Rooms, China Whites, The Penthouse, Ministry of Sound and other high-profile A-Lister hangouts. Holding a residency for 14 years with the Morgan’s Hotel Group in London, New York, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco.
The likes of The Citi Bank, Barclay’s Bank, London Fashion Week, Infosys are some of the corporate clients who have used TheAlchemistDJ to rock their red-carpet events around the globe.
TheAlchemistDJ has been spending his time spreading positive vibes through his creation of Medicine For The Soul sessions during the COVID-19 pandemic alongside working at the frontline at his hospital serving patients with the virus. The sessions are to inject positivity, a release from the stress and the anxiety which people have been experiencing due to the 2020 lockdown. A positive mindset through music is powerful and has led him to play for thousands around the world.
